Ashland, Ore. — Senator Dr. Alan Bates will be remembered on Saturday in Ashland.
A public memorial service will be held at 1:30 in the Rogue River Room at Southern Oregon University. Another memorial will be held at the Oregon State Capitol September 20th.
Flags will fly at half -staff in honor of Dr. Bates.
Bates died August 5th while fishing with his son in Douglas County.
