Puppies burned in Central Point fire continue to recover

Central Point, Ore. – A group of puppies that were injured in a Central Point fire earlier this month are recovering well, according to a recent update shared on Jackson County Fire District 3’s Facebook page.

The homeowners escaped with their three adult dogs and nine 4-week-old puppies after a garage caught on fire on March 7.

Crews were able to stop the flames from burning the rest of the home.

Unfortunately, the some of the puppies were injured in the fire. One of them later died.

The following is an update provided by a foster parent of some of the puppies:

Phoenix’s arm no longer needs his arm wrapped! He may not need a body wrap for too much longer, but they both still need a lot of care. Sage is slowly growing new skin, but will need a body wrap for a lot longer. The time it takes to clean and rewrap and that takes money! We still need help with their vet bills. Please consider donating to get these babies healthy and ready for their forever home! https://www.gofundme.com/burned-puppies-support-fund
