Recreational marijuana will be on California’s Nov. ballot

0629 california marijuanaSacramento, Calif. — California may join Oregon and Washington in legalizing recreational marijuana.

According to Sacramento NBC affiliate KCRA, the initiative garnered enough signatures to land on the November ballot.

The measure would allow people 21 and over to buy an ounce of marijuana and pot-infused products at licensed outlets.

Growing six plants per-person would also be allowed.

Sales of both recreational and medical marijuana would be subject to a 15% tax.
