Construction flagger hit by multiple vehicles, flown to Portland hospital

ConstructionYamhill County, Ore. — A flagger in a construction zone was seriously injured after being hit by two vehicles south of Amity on Highway 99.

Oregon State Police says a stopped pickup was hit by another car and both slid into the flagger around 7 Thursday evening.

The victim, who’s in his 50’s, was flown to Legacy Emanuel Medical Center in Portland. OSP says his injuries are not life threatening. The driver who caused the crash is under investigation for DUII.
