Fire leaves Klamath Falls woman homeless

Klamath Falls, Ore. – A fire has left a Klamath Falls woman and her pets homeless for Christmas.

Louellen Teel’s home caught fire just before 4 Monday morning…

“All of a sudden, I looked down the hallway, and it went POP – right out the side of the wall.”

Louellen burned her leg while getting out of the home.

Fire crews arrive minutes later.

“They found the structure very well involved, and made an exterior attack, and then worked the fire.”  Notes Monte Keady of Klamath County Fire District #1.  “There was a lot of damage – and the fire pretty much damaged the entire trailer.”

Teel is getting temporary help from the Red Cross and her sister, but she’s hoping someone can help with a rental for around $300 a month…

“Something small, little, and like I said, that will work with my budget and that I have two dogs.”

Please call (541) 883-1530 if you’re able to help.

Investigators say the cause of the fire was electrical in nature.

Teel’s 1972 trailer was a total loss.
