Klamath Falls murder investigation continues

Klamath Falls, Ore. – New details in the grisly murder of a Klamath Falls man, as the woman charged with the murder will soon return to Oregon to face charges.

David Lowell White was found dead at his Orchard Avenue home Saturday.

Klamath County Deputy District Attorney Andrew Kartchner says an autopsy was conducted Wednesday.  “We can confirm that the body was dismembered, and that the result was that the death was by homicidal violence.”

Murder suspect Sheyanna Ray appeared in Shasta County, California court Wednesday.

“She did waive extradition.”  Notes Kartchner.  “Which means that they won’t have to go through a hearing down there before they extradite her up here.”

Information in the case went before a grand jury Thursday, said Kartchner.  “The Klamath County grand jury indicted the defendant on murder, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with evidence.”

Ray will be arraigned on those charges once she returns to Oregon.

Ray is expected to be returned to Oregon in about a week.
