Lincoln City youth coach arrested on sex abuse charges

Lincoln City, Ore. — A Lincoln City youth coach of multiple sports has been arrested on numerous sex abuse charges.

Tyler Lopez, 22, was taken into custody Friday night, after police say a number of concerned parents came forward.

He’s facing several charges of sex abuse in the first and second degree, and two counts of display of child sexual conduct. He’s expected to be arraigned on Monday afternoon.

Lopez is known in the area as a youth basketball, football and baseball coach. Anyone who has any information is asked to call police. The Lincoln City police case number is 17-400.

Natalie attended Southern Oregon University. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, getting lost in a good book, and exploring Southern Oregon.
