Missing hikers found

NC_hikersrescued1027_700x394Wash. – (KING) A Washington couple was found cold, but safe after a search was was launched Monday morning near North Bend, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.

King County had about 30 search and rescue personnel searching for Jennifer and Elizabeth Moran of Bothell. The couple was expected to go on a short day hike Sunday morning on the Middle Fork Trail. They were supposed to be home by the afternoon to host a birthday party for their 9-year-old son, but didn’t make it.

Their car was found by friends at the Pratt River Trailhead. Another hiker told deputies he ran into two women matching Jennifer and Elizabeth’s description, and that the women asked for directions to the Goldmyer trail.
