Oregon being sued for passing Measure 88

640x360_51110B00-MJIINOre. — The state of Oregon is being sued to reverse a decision on the 2014 ballot measure.

Measure 88 passed with a two-thirds majority last year, which prevents undocumented immigrants from getting Oregon drivers licenses.

According to The Oregonian, in a lawsuit filed by five immigrants, the plaintiffs say the measure is unconstitutional because it denies driving privileges based on their race.

Since 2008, Oregon has required proof of citizenship to get their license.
