Rep. Walden to address TSA efforts for Crater Lake / Klamath Regional Airport

Klamath Falls, Ore. – Good news could soon be approaching the runway at the Crater Lake / Klamath Regional Airport.

The airport in Klamath Falls is working to restore commercial passenger service, but the T.S.A. says they won’t resume security screening. Congressman Greg Walden is scheduled to be in Klamath Falls Friday to provide an update.

“It’s really going to be a briefing on what’s taking place in Washington D.C., both in the House, and the Senate. Bills have been introduced that would help bring the T.S.A. back to Klamath Falls,” said Klamath County Chamber of Commerce Director Charles Massie.

The airport has been without passenger service since June of last year.

The city of Klamath Falls has signed an agreement with Penair to restore air service to Portland once security screenings are in place.
