Klamath Falls, Ore. – Matthew Dean Reyes pleaded ‘guilty’ Tuesday afternoon to murdering a Klamath Falls cab driver.
The charges stem from the January 2015 murder of Rickie Aston at a downtown Klamath Falls motel.
Police say Aston was beaten to death, then had his throat cut.
Reyes was captured three weeks later in Washington state, following a home invasion robbery.
Reyes stated during the plea hearing that he was under the influence of meth at the time of the murder.
Sentencing has been scheduled for September 7th.
