Snowflake Festival Parade 2017

Klamath Falls, Ore. – The 34th annual Snowflake Festival Parade drew a crowd of thousands.

The parade featured 107 entries.

Highlights included the unveiling of a new jet by the 173rd Fighter Wing – and some old favorites.

“All the children love to see Santa Claus.”

Epicenter owner Don Marquart served as Grand Marshal for the parade.

“To me, it’s so family oriented, and that’s what I’m all about with my business.”  Noted Marquart.  “Everything’s family, seeing all the kids on the streets, that’s what it means – to me, that’s Christmas.  I love it.”

The parade featured several marching bands, and a little something for everyone.

The Snowflake Festival Parade is Oregon’s largest nighttime parade, with a very simple message:  “Merry Christmas!”

Snowflake events continue Friday night with a ‘Snow Ball’ dance at the Epicenter, and a Saturday evening performance of the Nutcracker Ballet at the Ross Ragland Theater.
