Video: Ammon Bundy’s statement to “stand down” released

Ore. — Ammon Bundy’s attorney released a video of Ammon Bundy’s voice on speaker phone to his wife, which contained a statement to the holdouts still at the refuge.

Bundy and seven other people who supported him were arrested on January 26th, while four other armed men remain at the Malheur National Refuge. Sot

In the voice recording, Bundy said, “Alright, to those at the refuge, please stand down. This was never meant to be an armed standoff. We only came to expose abuse and educate people about their rights, protected by the constitution of the United States. Please do not make this something that it was never meant to be. Go home to your families.”

During the arrest last week, one of Bundy’s supporters was shot and killed when federal investigators confronted the men.
