Repeat bank robber sentenced in Medford courtroom

Medford, Ore. – A 65-year-old repeat bank robber was sentenced to 130 months in prison for robbing a bank and a convenience store in Medford.

According to the Oregon Department of Justice, 65-year-old Medford resident Gerald Thomas Schram robbed a Medford Minute Market in January, 2014.

The DOJ said in September of the same year, he robbed a U.S. Bank in Medford, fleeing with over $8,000.

Schram was later arrested and charged in a federal court with both robberies.

Schram has seven prior felony convictions in California and Oregon dating back to 1970, according to the DOJ. He served two prior federal prison sentences for separate bank robbery and robbery convictions.
