Grants Pass, Ore. — A scary situation for some Grants Pass residents who said they woke up to a SWAT team and officers evacuating their apartment complex.
People who live in the Garden Apartments on SW 5th Street said the street was blocked off early Saturday morning and they were forced out of their building while police commanded someone to come out with their hands up.
“All guns were drawn, they were all armed and everything, they had all their bullet proof vests and helmets. It was pretty scary,” resident Quincy Mitchell said.
Rogue River Police said they were looking for a man wanted for attempted murder after shots were fired at a vehicle in Rogue River early Saturday morning. They got a tip that the man may have been in that apartment complex in Grants Pass, but did not find him.
