SAIF promotes worker health and safety in the Rogue Valley

0919-saifMedford, Ore. — The head of Oregon’s state-chartered worker’s compensation company is spending time in Medford promoting health and safety beyond the work place.

SAIF is a nonprofit state-chartered corporation providing workman’s compensation insurance to employers.

Kerry Barnett, the president and CEO of the state accident insurance fund said worker safety should be thought about more than just eight hours a day, “You can’t choose just eight hours of the day and try to get people to be safe and healthy during that period of time. It’s very important that we think in terms of the twenty-four hour experience around health and safety.”

SAIF also provides training for policyholders.  The next one in Medford is coming up on November 2nd at the Smullin Center.
