Salem P.D. patrol car goes pink for breast cancer awareness

0930-salem-pd-pink-carSalem, Ore. – The Salem Police Department is unveiling a pink patrol car to show support for breast cancer awareness.

Deputy Chief Steve Bellshaw said, “As an agency, one of our core values is compassion, and we hope that when survivors and their families see the patrol car, they’ll know the Salem Police family is supportive and compassionate of their experience with breast cancer and other devastating illnesses.”

SPD said the car will be used for daily patrols, but it will also be available for viewing at upcoming police events.

Police said the cost of the makeover was covered by McGinty Belcher Attorneys at Law.
