Salvation Army donation kettles stolen in Clackamas County

Oregon City, Ore. – Oregon City police arrested a 19-year-old man for stealing Salvation Army donation kettles from a pair of Clackamas County stores.

According to the Oregon City Police Department, on December 6th officers were contacted by Salvation Army employees who reported two donation kettles and one stand had been taken from the Oregon City and Canby Fred Meyers.

Police said surveillance video and witness statements helped them to identify the theft suspect as 19-year-old Jeremiah James Tracy.

Officers said they found Tracy at his home in Oregon City. They also found one of the donation kettles which had been damaged during the theft.

Tracy was arrested and charged with two counts of theft in the second degree and one count of theft in the third degree.
