Salvation Army ramping up for Christmas

1115-salvation-armyMedford, Ore. — The Salvation Army is looking for a little holiday help. The organization needs a temporary building space to store, prepare, and distribute Christmas toys and clothing for during the holidays.

The Salvation Army said they need a minimum of 10,000 square-feet of building space between November 25th and December 24.

Volunteers are planning to provide Christmas Assistance (toys and food) to over 700 families this year. Toys and gifts will be provided for children through the age of 17-year-old. Families can sign up at the Salvation Army Medford Citadel Corps at 304 Beatty Street in Medford. Sign up days are Monday, November 14th, 2016 through Thursday, November 17th at 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. and Friday, December 2, 2016 at 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m.

Those wanting to apply for a bell-ringer position should apply in person at the Medford Salvation Army on Beatty Street. Applications will be accepted from November 14th through November 22nd during regular business hours.
