Sams Valley, Ore., – Fire crews are battling a quickly-spreading grass fire in Sams Valley that’s ignited a number of trees in the area.
The blaze was called in around 4 this afternoon, on John Day Road.
Fire crews with Jackson County Fire District 3 responded with numerous engines and a bulldozer, but it quickly grew to over 1 and a half acres in size.
Right now, firefighters are continuing to mop up in the area.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation tonight.
