Search effort continues for missing hunter

missing-higgins-hunters-picCurry County, Ore. — The search continues for a missing hunter in mountainous Curry County.

Sheriff John Ward tells NBC5 News that several counties have now pulled resources off the 10-day search for Josephine County man Sean Higgins. “Worse than a needle in a haystack if you ask me. When we’ve actually covered everything we can. And we have tracks, GPS tracks and we have not found one clue–you don’t know where else to go from there,” said Sheriff Ward.

Higgins and his son Trevor disappeared on October 14th while hunting off Bear Camp Road.

Trevor was found last Tuesday. Sheriff Ward said the family has been wonderful with search crews.

Though the amount of people searching each day for Sean has dwindled from over 100 to 20 their efforts will continue.
