Search for missing Ashland runner continues

Ashland, Ore. — An entire community came together, in the search for missing Ashland man Todd Ragsdale. He was last seen Thursday morning, before he went for a run near Lithia Park. After not returning home last night, search and rescue crews, aided by the community, are stopping at nothing to find him.

“We just kind of got here, but we’re ready to get up, get up and start looking,” Heather Timmons said. “He’s just so prominent in our running trail community.”

Timmons knows Ragsdale through running, and said he normally ran through the trails in Lithia Park, and near the Ashland Watershed.

“We see him out all the time, and you run into each other on the trail,” Timmons said.

Search crews made up of law enforcement and community members alike searched the park trails on Friday. Ragsdale was reported missing on Thursday afternoon, around 3:30 PM. Sheriff Corey Falls said since then, an outpouring of help has come forward.

“Search and Rescue help from Klamath county, from Douglas county, from Deschutes county, Siskiyou county, Lake county,” Sheriff Falls said. “We have five search K9 teams that are out looking. There’s a lot of people from the running community that are out assisting, and we really appreciate that.”

The search for Ragsdale will continue on the weekend. He was last seen wearing a black beanie cap, a green jacket with the words “Rogue Valley Runners,” shorts, and bright green running shoes. If you have any information, call police.
