Klamath Falls, Ore., — Oregon Tech also held their graduation this morning with Senator Ron Wyden as their commencement speaker.
We caught up with the Senator at Medford’s International Airport on his way out of Southern Oregon today.
He says he left with a refreshed sense of how important it is to make college more affordable for students.
“They’re coming out of school owing 30, 40 thousand dollars sometimes more, I proposed for example an incentive for Oregon and other states to freeze or lower tuition.”
He also weighed in on the presidential race.
While he wouldn’t say who he would like to see Hillary Clinton will pick for her running mate, he did say he’s partial to strong women.
“You want someone who would be ready, and I think there are a number of women in the congress, in the private sector, who would be very talented and gifted”
