Series of small quakes reported off the southern Oregon Coast

PORT ORFORD, Ore. – A cluster of minor earthquakes was reported off the Oregon Coast Thursday night through Friday morning.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the series of five earthquakes ranged from magnitude 3.5 to magnitude 4.5 about 113 miles from Port Orford.

The first quake—a magnitude 3.9—hit at about 9:10 p.m. Thursday. The latest one recorded was a magnitude 3.5 recorded at 2:45 a.m. Friday.

There were no reports of damage and no tsunami warnings or watches issued.
