SANTA ROSA COUNTY, Calif. – The Shady Fire is ripping through a Santa Rosa, California neighborhood, engulfing homes and forcing evacuations.
Fire crews were out in force battling the flames Monday morning.
More than 2,000 structures are threatened by multiple fires in the Bay Area.
A widespread evacuation order is under effect.
Crews have evacuated eight patients by air and 32 by ground in several dozen ambulances and a bus with the assistance of seven aircraft.
