Shooting victim in surgery at Mercy Medical Center

Roseburg, Ore. — A veteran who served in Afghanistan is among those injured in Thursday’s shooting at Umpqua Community College. 30-year-old Christopher Mintz is in the hospital getting surgery for his various wounds. A friend of Mintz’ tells NBC5 he was shot 7 times in the science building on campus.
