SNAP recipients affected by wildfires eligible for replacement benefits

MEDFORD, Ore.– SNAP recipients that lost food during wildfire evacuations this summer, can still apply to replace it by October 24th.

The Oregon Department of Human Services announced they are extending the deadline to request replacement food.

Food purchased with SNAP that was lost during evacuations or emergency power shut offs over the last two months can be replaced.

Requesting replacement benefits can be done by email or phone.
