Southern Oregonians give back

11-29-giving-tuesdayMedford, Ore. — Music and laughter could be heard from the Holly Theatre as Southern Oregonians met to give back.

People were treated to a beer and wine tasting while learning about the work that local non-profits do.

Organized by the Rogue Valley Messenger and US Cellular, it’s all part of #givingtuesday, a national day dedicated to giving back. From midnight to midnight, people are encouraged to donate to non-profits.

“It’s a little bit like speed dating. People are asked to come in, meet each of the different non-profits, think about who they might want to give some money to,” described Rogue Valley Messenger Publisher Phil Busse

Giving Tuesday ended at midnight, so if you would like to contribute to a non-profit, visit www.oregongives.org.
