(NBC News) — A Southwest Airlines computer failure caused massive delays and cancellations across the country.
Tens of thousands of travelers were stranded Wednesday when Southwest’s computers and website crashed.
Across the country frustrated passengers lined up at ticket counters. Others were forced to sleep in crowded terminals.
The ripple effect continued Thursday. More than 300 flights were and hundreds more delayed.
In a written statement southwest officials say: “We are focused on getting Customers and their baggage safely to their destinations and apologize to our Customers whose travel plans are impacted.”
