Medford, Ore. – Medford Police arrested two men after they allegedly led officers on a very short chase in a stolen vehicle and threw drugs out the window.

MPD said an officer attempted to stop a spray-painted black Honda Prelude in the area of 4th and Ivy.

Instead of stopping, the vehicle sped off as a passenger threw a box out the window, according to police.

The officer reportedly gave chase, but seconds later the Prelude broke down.

Both suspects were arrested at the scene. Police said the box that was thrown out the window was found to contain methamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and morphine pills.

In a Facebook post, MPD said 42-year-old Johnny Marino and 27-year-old Jake Compton are facing “a whole lot of charges.”

According to MPD, the Honda Prelude was stolen from the 2200 block of Table Rock Road on Saturday.
