Stolen vehicle found at neighbor’s home

Eagle Point, Ore. – Eagle Point police handled a very unusual stolen vehicle case this week.

According to the Eagle Point Police Department, they received a call from reporting a stolen vehicle from the owner’s son in law, who told officers he saw the vehicle being driven by a neighbor—into the neighbor’s driveway.

Police said the vehicle’s owner also called officers and advised them his vehicle was parked two doors down from his home.

EPD said officers the neighbor, identified as Adam Skinner, was seen walking into his residence with items taken from the stolen vehicle. Once Skinner was contacted by officers, he was asked why the vehicle was parked in his driveway. Police said he didn’t seem to recall ever driving it.

Skinner was arrested on Monday and charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. EPD said he was also connected to a recent burglary in Eagle Point. Those charges were added while he was in custody.
