Suspected drug house searched, man arrested

Medford, Ore. – Police have arrested a man after searching a suspected drug house in east Medford.

Following up on numerous complaints from neighbors along with outside intelligence developed by Medford Area Drug Enforcement investigators, police said they secured a search warrant for a residence in the 1400 block of Crown Avenue.

The warrant was served at 10:30 Wednesday morning. Police said the suspect, 45-year-old Scott Hunter, was detained without incident.

Investigators said they found over 33 grams of methamphetamine along with packing materials, scales, a firearm, and other evidence.

Police add the residence is within 1,000 feet of Hedrick Middle School and Roosevelt Elementary.

Hunter was booked into the Jackson County Jail on charges of unlawful possession, manufacture, and distribution of methamphetamine.
