Tail Waggers Rescue in need of help ahead of winter

Grants Pass, Ore. — As the weather gets colder, homeless around the Rogue Valley are looking for ways to keep warm, and that includes their furry counterparts.

Maria Modica of Tail Waggers Rescue is hoping to help. Modica was in Grants Pass Monday handing out food and coats to homeless animals, as well as sleeping bags for their humans. But the current supply they have is running out.

“We only have about 5 or 6 of the extra large dog coats right now which is about the standard size for most of the dogs and we only have 6 sleeping bags,” founder Maria Modica says, “we’re in dire need of funds.”

Modica says they generally help about 100 dogs a season, if you’d like to help, click HERE.
