Greene County, Tenn. – Two Tennessee parents are facing criminal charges after they allegedly tried to sell their 5-month-old baby on Craigslist.
Knoxville NBC affiliate WBIR reports on Friday, police in Greene County received information that someone was attempting to sell an infant on Craigslist for $3,000.
Police arranged to meet with the Greenville couple behind the post.
Once undercover officers exchanged money for the baby, 26-year-old John David Cain, Jr. and 38-year-old Deanna Greer were placed under arrest.
The Department of Children’s Services took custody of the baby.
The pair were charged with aggravated child abuse, child neglect and endangerment.
