San Antonio, Tex. (KABB) — George and Ora Lee Rodriguez celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary on June 1st.
The two met in San Antonio. It was a love that never faded.
The Rodriquez’s daughter, Corina Martinez said, “He was working as a butcher, at Tony’s Meat Market on Culebra, he met her there.”
George was a Marine, and after serving, the two got married. He lived in a home on the city’s west side, raising three beautiful daughters.
Both developed dementia, and a few months ago, George suffered a stroke.
Tuesday, George passed away in his sleep. “We had them here at the house, in their hospital beds, right beside each other,” said Corina. Just three hours later Ora Lee passed as well. “They were holding hands,” added Corina.
