Three indicted for murder of Apache Hightower

1013-hightower-suspectsColumbia County, Ore. – Three suspects are being charged in a Columbia County Court with the murder of Apache Rose Hightower.

Columbia County District Attorney Stephen Atchison told KGW that a grand jury has indicted Jesse Allen Lane, Stephanie Jeanne Toney and Charles William Vernon. All three are scheduled to appear in Columbia County Court at 11:30 Thursday morning.

Hightower’s body was found in a rural area of Columbia County on September 20th. After an investigation, police classified Hightower as the victim of homicidal violence.

Jesse Allen Lane, Hightower’s ex-boyfriend, was identified as a person of interest in the case. He was eventually found and taken into custody in Santa Barbara, California.
