Tree falls on house

Medford, Ore., — A tree fell on a house in Medford about three nights ago, and still hasn’t been removed.

Due to the snow and icy weather, crews haven’t been available to remove the fallen tree.

It was originally blocking the road, but fire fighters were able to get that cleared the night it fell.

Crews tried to remove the tree this morning, but it was still too icy and frozen.

“We were real lucky yeah, I think it fell really really slow, I don’t think it was any kind of falling really, it was more of a leaning, gentle thing, and I think that’s what’s saved us.” said the home owner, Roger Surgeon.

No one in the house was injured in the fall, and the house itself doesn’t seem to have any damage.

Surgeon says it should be taken care of by Monday.
