Trump lawn sign stolen

Medford, Ore. — The search is on for a political sign – stolen this weekend from a Medford home. The theft, caught on tape.

The incident happened Sunday when a car drove by and stole a Donald Trump sign off the front lawn of a Medford home.

It’s an act of theft, but the couple says it’s also a violation of their rights.

“She’s going to run over on my property and take my Donald Trump sign,” Jim Jensen said, homeowner.
Jim and Scarlett Jensen have lived peacefully in their Medford home for 27 years. But now they say they’re the victims of a crime. Theft, to be exact.

They’re stuck replacing a Donald Trump lawn sign, after someone stole it.

On the couple’s surveillance video from Oct. 9, you can see a car drives in front of their home, a woman jumps out, grabs the sign, and takes off.

“I’m angry about it. I don’t want somebody on my property without being invited,” Scarlett Jensen said.

The couple called it a violation of their political rights.

“This is a country of freedom of speech. Everybody gets their opinion and whoever somebody vote is for, and if I don’t agree, I don’t agree, that’s their business,” she said.

No matter how patriotic you feel, Jim said that’s no excuse to steal.

“Sometimes I’ll express my real opinion in front of the television and jump up and down and say what I really think, but when I go out in public I try to have some manners,” he said.

The sign itself only cost $4, but the Jensen’s are offering up a $100 reward to anyone who brings the sign back.

“The sign was priceless, you cannot put a price on freedom,” she said.

If you have any information on this incident, you’re asked to contact the Medford Police Department.
