Two arrested in Medford Motel 6 drug bust

motel 6 pictureMedford, Ore.– Two people are in police custody Friday night, following a drug bust at a Medford motel. The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office says their deputies noticed suspicious activity at the Motel 6 on Biddle road, around 4 AM Friday morning.

After contacting the couple, deputies say they found both meth and heroin on them. People we spoke with who work in the area say they aren’t surprised by the activity, and say it’s not uncommon to see law enforcement in the area.

“I see them drive into Motel 6 quite a lot, it kind of seems like they sit there for a little bit and then leave, we’ve had cops show up around here looking for people a few times,” Kail Rosburg said, an employee of a business located across the street from the motel.

The names of the male and female who were arrested have not been released. Deputies say they’re both facing numerous drug-related charges.
