Medford, Ore. – Medford Police responded to a possible armed robbery in the 1300 block of Biddle Road just around 11:30 Sunday night.
When officers arrived on scene, they determined the victim was lured into a parking lot by two men asking if he wanted to smoke marijuana. One suspect brandished a sword and demanded the victim’s wallet and phone while the other suspect displayed a handgun in his waistband.
With the help of a witness, officers said they were able to track down the two suspects, identified as Lawrence Anthony Jackson and Justin Dee Chapman. Police found a sword, an airsoft pistol, and the victim’s property in a van that was associated with the two.
Both men were lodged in the Jackson County Jail on charges of robbery, menacing, and theft. Chapman is also charged with a probation violation.
