Two strangers rescue young crash victims in Ohio

NC_childrenatcrash0523_1500x845(WDTN) Two strangers rushed to help the victims of a terrifying crash in Trotwood, Ohio Friday morning, and walked away heroes.

Chad Collard and Lavell Zachary, both military veterans, ran from their vehicles to help those inside a flipped SUV.

“I was scared of a fire happening or whatever and wanted to make sure everyone was okay,” said Collard.

Collard and Zachary helped get the kids out from the back where police say they were not properly restrained.

The two youngest children, ages 3 and 4 took to their heroes.

“The little girl walked to me and I pulled her out the back and latched on to me the whole time,” Collard said.

“The little boy, he never knew me and he was gripping me as tight as he could,” said Zachary.
