Portland, Ore. – Umpqua Bank is closing more than two dozen branches in the coming months, several of them in Southern Oregon and Northern California.
The banks says the 26 closures were prompted by an increase in online and mobile banking. Locations in Medford and Talent are part of the consolidation.
Affected customers will have their accounts moved to the nearest branch in June or July. It’s not clear how many employees will be affected.
