United Way Day of Caring

09-17-unitedMedford, Ore., — Lending a helping hand for 20 years, The United Way of Jackson County held its annual day of caring this afternoon!

The organization partners with other non-profits around the valley to complete community service projects.

Today volunteers and staff were at the OnTrak Teen Center, and the Medford Senior Center.

“I just want to be apart of and try to help out my community as much as I can, it helps me be a better person and stay clean.” said one volunteer, Jay Sands.

“It makes me feel good, I really like helping people, it’s just a nice thing to do” said another volunteer, Kailyn McCrary.

Earlier this year, United Way completed 18 other community service projects with over 500 “Day of Caring” volunteers.
