(NBC News) If you own a drone, get ready to register.
The federal government will soon require users to register their unmanned aerial vehicles.
A task force made up of government and industry representatives will hash out the details, including which unmanned aircraft will have to be registered and which will be exempt.
The group’s recommendations are due by november 20th, cutting it close to the holidays, when 700,000 drones are forecast to fly off the shelves.
