Fire Prevention Week

The key message of this year’s campaign is to install smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each separate sleeping area, and on every level of your home, including the basement.

According to the National Fire Protection Association, half of home fire deaths result from fires reported between 11 at night and 7 in the morning, when most people are asleep.

Working smoke alarms save lives, alerting you to smoke and fire, and cutting the risk of dying from a fire in your home by almost half.
