Hillary Makes History

NC_dncama0729_700x394 copy(NBC News) Hillary Clinton accepted the Democratic nomination Thursday night, wrapping up two weeks of high-stakes politics full of controversy on both sides.

She was “feeling the bern,” promising a progressive agenda, a jobs bill in the first 100 days, immigration reform, and a crackdown on Wall Street to pay for it.

Clinton is positioning herself as a fighter for working families, while reaching out to conservatives.

“I’m not here to take away your guns. I just don’t want you to be shot by someone who shouldn’t have a gun in the first place,” she said.

She claimed Donald Trump will stiff America like he stiffed small businesses.

“Americans don’t say, ‘I alone can fix it.’ We say, ‘We’ll fix it together,'” Clinton said.

Friday, Clinton and Tim Kaine kick off their Midwest bus tour while Trump and Pence campaign in Indiana and Colorado.
