Hitting the road for Thanksgiving

Lower crude oil prices and more gasoline from regional refineries have resulted in the lowest prices at the pump in more than five years.

But there will be nothing fast about airport security lines, especially when ticket prices are down 9-percent from last year, according to Orbitz.

“Even if you are headed through those TSA precheck lines, make sure you are allowing yourself plenty of extra time,” advises Orbitz Senior Editor Jeanenne Tornatore.

With new terror threats from ISIS and in light of recent attacks in Paris, the State Department has issued an new worldwide travel alert, meaning even more scrutiny at all airports.
