President Obama to tackle gun control

NC_obamaguns0104_700x394(NBC News)  President Obama is expected to map out a new strategy to increase gun control sometime this week.

The president will meet with Attorney General Loretta Lynch Monday afternoon to talk about ways to increase background checks for people who buy guns.

Mr. Obama defended his position during his weekly radio address, saying “This policy was supported by some 90% of the American people. It was supported by a majority of NRA households, but the gun lobby mobilized against it, and the Senate blocked it.”

President Obama is expected to conduct a three month review of other steps he can take to reduce gun violence.
