Protests follow Minneapolis shooting

NC_mnpoliceshooting1116_700x394(KARE)  Protests erupted in Minneapolis, Minnesota Sunday following the police shooting of an unarmed suspect.

Witnesses say Jamar Clark was hancuffed and on the ground when he was shot.

“That young man never struggled. He never resisted. He never got out of line with them. When they cuffed him, they cuffed him and slammed him down,” said witness Nakila Sharpe.

“The guy was pinned down on the ground. He wasn’t moving wasn’t, fighting wasn’t screaming. Nothing. And next thing we know, maybe a minute after watching it, the gun went off,” added Tito Wilson.

Minneapolis police say Clark was struggling with officer when he was shot.

“People are angry  upset. There’s a lot of misinformation out there,” said Chief Janee Harteau.
