Starbucks’ holiday cups stir up controversy

11.09 STARBUCKS CONTROVERSYA former pastor is slamming Starbucks for its latest holiday coffee cups.

The cups are plain red, without the Christmas ornaments the coffee chain used in the past.

Joshua Feuersten, who calls himself a social media personality, posted a video to Facebook on November 5 that went viral. Feuerstein criticizes Starbucks for removing “Christmas from their cups because they hate Jesus.”

In the video, Feuersten tells customers how to trick baristas into writing “Merry Christmas” on the cups. And he’s asking those customers to later post photos of those cups on Twitter.

Feuerstein claims the video has had more than 10-million views. Starbucks say’s the cups are meant to encourage customers to tell Christmas stories in their own way.
